Lutheran Nursery School Program

Lutheran sponsors a Nursery School, not a Day Care Service, so the program is designed to aid the child in making the adjustment from the limited environment of the home to that of a group as easily and happily as possible.

The Lutheran Nursery School is well equipped with materials that encourage varied creative activities. Your child will enjoy songs, rhythms, games, finger plays, painting, poems, stories, dramatic play, cooking and science; also free play with blocks, puzzles, "housekeeping" toys, and the use of simple tools.

Outdoor play is a large part of our program which gives a child the valuable opportunity for development and coordination of his/her larger muscles.

The Pre-Kindergarten Program in conjunction with the Hanover Curriculum and the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks is designed to ensure that our students have opportunities to participate in a multitude of experiences preparing them for Kindergarten.

The Christian Education segment of the program teaches Bible stories, particularly the life of Jesus Christ and songs geared to this age level. We hope to instill within each child a positive awareness that he/she is God's child.

Entrance Requirements

A child may be enrolled in the 3-Day Pre-Kindergarten program who will be old enough to enter kindergarten the following year.

The 2-Day Readiness program is intended for the younger three year olds who may return the following year in the 3-Day Pre-Kindergarten Program.

According to the Massachusetts state law, the medical form must be returned to us before the first day of school. Failure to do so will delay your child's entrance.
